#Funded: Our First Grant!

That’s right! Urban Sustainability Solutions has received its first grant in the amount of $10,000 from The Burt’s Bees Foundation. The money will support a teacher training program in August 2023, in which teachers from Durham Public Schools will train Orange County teachers on how to integrate the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) stormwater curriculum into their classrooms.

But it isn’t only grant funding that keeps our organization running. Your generous donations further support the installation of rain gardens and drainage systems, as well as pay for the website, teacher workshops, and so much more!
