Our Mission

Our mission is to provide an urban ecosystem services program that will: 1) educate and train youth about important environmental issues, and 2) improve water and indoor air quality through instituting Multifunctional Green Infrastructure Practices.

Our Goals

1.     Increase STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) knowledge among youth and the underserved.
2.     Train and retain outstanding STEM instructors. 
3.     Strengthen students’ engagement with their community, thereby creating generational linkages.
4.     Increase community landowners’ participation to install Stormwater Control Measures (SCMs).
5.     Increase community awareness about how SCM installations impact water quality, water quantity, and stream preservation.
6. Decrease stormwater runoff into creeks and streams over time.
